Two day Sino-German Workshop on Water Management in Beijing

China experience severe ecological and environmental problems related to water. There is a need in China to strengthen their water environmental management and control of wastewater discharge. This is done in order to continuously improve ecological and environmental aspects of water and promote sustainable development of its economy and society.

Therefor China’s Ministry of Environmental Protection, the Appraisal Center for Environment and Engineering of Ministry of Environmental Protection of China (ACEE) and the German corporation GIZ hosts a workshop on wastewater management on December 13 and 14, 2017.

The topics of the workshop are:

  • Point source pollution management in Germany and its relation with water quality in watersheds
  • Management of toxic and hazardous substances in water bodies
  • Non-point source pollution management experience in Germany
  • Water environmental management practices in China

An estimated total of 100 participants, with around 10 international guests.
